Today our new website for the Emory Center for Public Health Preparedness and Research (CPHPR) went live (http://cphpr.emory.edu/), and on this website, you will find links to materials and videos from our legionellosis workshop: “From Watersheds to Showerheads.” I encourage you all to share this link with your collaborators and colleagues interested in controlling pathogens in engineered water systems.
In addition, members of our planning committee have drafted a manuscript that summarizes much of the discussion, and we will update you when that is available.
Thank you all again for your wonderful and expert participation in our May workshop. The growth in interest from a variety of disciplines in Legionella and other pathogens in our water systems is heartening. It is our hope that the discussions we had and connections we made back in May will contribute to the thoughtful, multidisciplinary research and continued policy development that is needed.
